My Kitchen Transformation [Part 3]

Read part 1 here and part 2 here.

My flooring is done! It’s so beautiful it deserves its own post. Here’s what it looks like:

I’m OBSESSED with it. When I went to my house and saw it was almost done, I lost my mind. It’s sooooo pretty.

It looks like hardwood or laminate, which would be an unwise choice for a kitchen. It’s actually super tough (and waterproof!) luxury vinyl planks. I had originally been looking at grey linoleum, but this stuff is so much prettier and way harder to damage. Linoleum is soft, so anything relatively hard or sharp will gouge holes in it. This flooring is tough as nails!

The contractors put in pewter strips between my kitchen, hallway, and living room flooring. It looks so much nicer than the original wooden ones. They also put white trim around the bottom of the lower cabinets, which I didn’t get a picture of.

As you can see, I’ve got some scrubbing to do in the hallway on the floor. That’s from when I painted the ceiling and (stupid me) didn’t put down a drop cloth.

I also got them to put the flooring on my two steps and landing at my back porch.

I can’t stop staring. It’s so beautiful.

My kitchen progress is a little bit stuck now because I have to wait for my drawer pulls and faucet to come in. Hopefully they get here soon!

That’s all I have for today. Let me know in the comments what you think of this flooring!
