My Bathroom Makeover [Part 1]: Painting the Ceiling… Black!

*This post contains affiliate links.*

My house was built in 1955 and was owned by just one family before me. I bought it from a 95-year-old woman when she decided to move in with her adult children. So, as you can imagine, the entire house is a little… well… dated.

She also loved green. Like, “every-surface-in-the-house-painted-green” loved green. Hospital mint green. It’s not a terrible colour, unless its on everything, then it’s horrid.

I love monochrome colour schemes in houses, so since I bought the house a little under a month ago I’ve been dreaming of greys, whites, blacks, and silvers covering the never ending mint.

DIY Crochet Ukulele Strap

Anyone who knows me knows I ADORE my 3 ukuleles. I taught myself to play by using YouTube and by looking up chords online. It’s so easy to play and tons of fun too.
I’ve wanted a strap for my tenor uke for quite awhile. It has a pickup so I can play it in church when I’m playing in the band, but I always have to sit while I play which drives me nuts.

Pinterest is, by far, the best source of recipes I’ve ever come across. Seriously. If you don’t have a food and drink board to pin on, you are missing out on some excellent tastebud experiences.   Keep reading…

Living in constant pain is probably one of the most frustrating things I’ve ever had to deal with. It’s also something that’s very hard to understand for people who haven’t experienced it.  Keep reading…
